Our Founder

 

Emily Positano​ has spent a decade living and breathing purposeful marketing. She began her career running communications for a community-based nonprofit in Washington, DC. There, she learned the power of brand first-hand, helping a small community-based organization transform into a renowned player inside the Beltway and beyond.

Emily moved to New York City on a mission to help purpose-driven businesses through brand, and honed her skills as a strategist for two of the top branding agencies in the country. There, Emily was mentored directly by the best branders in the business, and quickly rose to leading the brand strategy development for a prestigious portfolio of clients.

Over the course of her career, Emily has been privileged to strategize, advise, and build brands for some of the world’s most renowned organizations. Her purpose-driven client list includes Teach For America, MoveOn.org, United Nations Peacekeepers, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Muscular Dystrophy Association, Easterseals, Project ALS, Womankind, The Fashion Institute of Technology, NEXT for Autism and Mercy College. She has also worked with leading brands in the tech and media space like Intel, Acer, Turner Media, ETrade, Univision, IEEE and more.

In 2016, Emily launched her own brand consultancy serving purpose-driven businesses and entrepreneurs through brand strategy, design, communication and activation work. She earned her BA from Marquette University, and is certified in Social Impact Strategy by the University of Pennsylvania. 

Emily serves on the board of Working 4 Women, a nonprofit supporting womens’ economic independence and is a proud mentor at 1871, Chicago’s startup incubator taking founders from idea to Fortune 50.
